In order to give you an accurate and complete quote for a safe through ceiling installation, you can email me 5 measurements. They are:
1)Distance from floor or hearth (where stove will sit) to ceiling where pipe will enter
2)Is Ceiling flat or pitched. If pitched, what pitch
3)Ceiling to roof (where the pipe will penetrate)
4)From the roof (where the pipe will exit) to 2 feet above any surrounding surfaces within 10 feet horizontally
5)Pitch of roof.
You can also vent a wood stove through the wall. For a quote for this type of installation, I will need to know:
1)Will the back of the stove be flush with the wall or in a corner at 45 angle
2)Will wall behind stove be combustible or non
3)Distance from floor (against the wall) to center of where pipe will exit wall (must be at least 1 foot down from ceiling)
4)Thickness of wall
5)Distance from center of where pipe will exit wall to 2 feet above any surrounding surfaces within 10 feet horizontally
6)If pipe will be going through or around an eve. If going around, distance from center of where pipe will exit wall to eve, width of eve and then distance from eve to 2 ft above any surrounding surfaces or structures within 10 ft. horizontally.
Pellet Stove Pipe Quote
One reason pellet stoves are great are because venting costs are very low compared to wood stoves because they can be vented through the wall and terminate 1' outside the house provided it is at least 1' off the ground. Venting for this type of installation can sometimes be as low as $150. For a complete and accurate quote for a safe installation of this type, please email the follwing information:
1) Which pellet stove you will be using
2)Whether the stove will sit in a corner at a 45 degree angle to the wall or if it will be flush to the wall and
3)How far from the wall or corner you would like the stove to sit. Usually rear clearance of pellet stoves can be as little as 2" since the rear of pellets stove usually dont get very hot.
4)If you have special circumstances such as installing in your basement and you will need to elbow up and then out, please email and we can figure out what pipe you need.
Pellet stoves can also be vented through the roof and terminate a mere 1' above any surroundings surfaces within 1' horizontally. For a complete and accurate quote for a safe installation of this type, please email the following measurements:
1)Distance from floor or hearth (where stove will sit) to ceiling
2)Ceiling to roof
3)From the roof where the pipe will exit to 1 foot above any surrounding surfaces within 1' feet horizontally
4)Pitch of roof.
